Interesting that you found a difference between brands, I'd never thought of that. I know Vitamins are unregulated by the FDA, while prescription drugs are regulated by the FDA. I wonder, is melatonin regulated at all?

My son is 12 and has Aspberger's and ADHD. He has never slept well. He takes melatonin every night and it usually helps. The strange thing is we have noticed a difference between brands. Nature Made has been the best.We also tried a regimine of lunesta 1.5 mg every night for 2 weeks and then weaned him down for two weeks. It helped for about a month - he was actually sleeping.

We tried melatonin for our son but it didn't seem to do much. Eventually we settled on Benedril, but after having to increase and increase the doses to make that work we finally gave up that. Now he doesn't take any medications, and guess what? He stays up late, and wakes up a lot!
